I had come to Murrooughtoohy that evening, hoping to get a break in the cloud which had poised pretty much the whole of summer so far. It never got quite there that day and a succession of wind gusts and rain showers made it quite challenging to set the camera. Never give up they say! Rooting amongst the grykes, a fern and sea lettuce, gleaming after a rain, provided the perfect foreground to one of my favourite landscape shots so far.
